Try this frre program

http://www.download.com/WinPatrol/3000-8...
for XP and older%26gt;

start menu%26gt;run%26gt;Type in "msconfig"%26gt;click "ok"%26gt;choose "startup items" and de-select the check box for w,l,m

For Vista%26gt;

start menu%26gt;type in run%26gt;select run%26gt;type in "msconfig"%26gt;click OK%26gt;next step same as XP!

Have a nice day!^_^
Go to START, then click on RUN, then enter "msconfig" into the box, and hit Enter.

You will see a STARTUP CONFIGURATION UTILITY dialog box.

Click on the Startup tab, and you'll see a list of programs that are loaded into the computer during startup. Look for the Live Messenger program, and uncheck the box.

You will have to look at the full name of the process, as they are not readily apparent. Go to www.processlibrary.com to see what each process does, and you may decide to uncheck stuff that is spyware or never used.

Your computer will start up a lot faster once these things are eliminated.
Go to options.
go to options and click on settings choose the start up settings and unclick the box next to windows messenger, then click apply then ok
