Save it if you want, this will keep you from having to download it again. You dont have to save it, you can run it to.

If you want to use it for a long time or permanently,click save.If you want to use it for a short time,click run.:)
"Save this file" and save it to somewhere you can easily find it to open it and install, for eg, save it to your desktop.
For Windows Live Messenger it does not really matter because it's from Microsoft and will be safe. However it's a good idea to always select save and put it into a folder my downloads. Then before you run the programme to install it do a virus check on that file. You quite often get more than you expect from downloads of certain sites. Hope this helps.
