If you can find them on websites then simply save them to a folder on your computer then go into Windows, and go to your emoticon options. Browse your PC and find the folder that the pictures are saved to, and add it and assign it a keyboard shortcut.
Or, if someone types one that you want, you can right click it and add it that way, which is easier.
Make sure you assign a shortcut of at least two keys though, like Ctrl+L or something, instead of simply L, or else the images will popup randomly as you type and are extremely annoying to those receiving them.
This is assuming that you're talking about the flashing or animated letters or pictures that show up. Otherwise, the person who posted above me is correct. You just select the letter that you want in the character map and copy it, then paste it wherever you want in messenger.
